Just wanted to ask if you prefer being a hidden member or not when you're online, and why or why not? (Including on other forums)

I don't really like being hidden because I like my members to feel that there is an admin on the forum, overlooking everything and enjoying themselves.

I like my online status being shown for some reason, especially on the support forum, just to show that there's always a moderator online and no spammer can spam

Ah, but that's why I have my online status hidden on the support forum.

So that spammers don't know that there's a mod on so they're more tempted to spam. If I see them in action, then I can put them out of action!

Yeah, that's one way of putting it I guess. There's not really a reason to hide your face, is there? Unless you've got something to hide.

Hehe...that's true! I guess...if you wanted to have a sneaky look at your rival forums...hidden is a nice touch. But then again, you could just use a different username lol :S

Why, such a good question, and so many answers to hode & not hide.

A good reason, and my personal fav on all forums is, that I'm supposed to be 'away' from the forum, so only the mods know I'm around haha

However, contrary to popular belief, I'm not a big fan of people hiding away, especially when you worried about a spam attack, I mean, whats the worst he going to do? Lock your account, or just spam anyway hahaha

Nah...It's just that i don't have reason to go hidden and prefer member to see me online.

The best way is to contact a staff member for help, I think, because they know all forum rules better than others.
Or, if problem is related to forumotion forums it's great to ask on support forum.

Or if they need any help, they can ask in the questions section. That's what it's there for.
