Hello everyone!
My second article here. Today I'll be talking about forum design and why it's so important that you have a good design.
First of all, we are humans. We judge things as soon as we see them, even if you don't think you do. So, that's why it's extremely important to set a good first impression on your forum.
When someone visits your forum, you need to make sure that the theme is instantly easy on the eyes and visually pleasing. They're more likely to register on a well-designed forum rather than a poorly-designed forum.
Colour choice is important too! Colours should compliment each other and should never be too hard on the eyes. Imagine having pink text on a bright green background! That would be awful!
Finally, let's talk about images. Images are a major aspect of forum design. In fact, the majority of this forum right now is made up of images. It would look VERY different without all of its images that you're seeing right now.
One final note: you should never go over the top with your design. If you decide to throw in too much stuff, it may slow down your forum and put users off from using it!
Thanks for reading!
